Challenging the secrecy surrounding Forest Holidays and the Forestry Commission

In 2019, Guy obtained a favourable decision from the Information Commissioner requiring Defra to publish an internal audit review of the relationship between Forest Holidays and the Forestry Commission, this following the shelving of the plan to build a holiday venue within Mortimer Forest, near Ludlow. Defra has since appealed the decision of the Information Commissioner and Guy has joined as a Second Respondent in the appeal to be heard sometime in 2020.  The review goes to the heart of the opaque relationship between the Forestry Commission and Forest Holidays, which enjoys a generous contract to allow it to build holiday parks on the public forest estate.
