District Salmon Fishery Boards referred to Scottish Information Commissioner over behind-the-scenes negotiations with salmon farmers

Acting on behalf of Salmon & Trout Conservation Scotland, Guy Linley-Adams referred a number of District Salmon Fishery Boards in Scotland to the Scottish Information Commissioner and advised on earlier work, which led to Commissioner’s decision that DSFBs were public authorities for the purposes of the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004. See https://www.itspublicknowledge.info/uploadedFiles/Decision097-2020.pdf . Decisions are expected shortly in relation to behind-the-scenes negotiations between DSFBs and salmon farming companies over the control of impacts of salmon farms on wild salmonids.
